Artist Statement

My work is crafted from cast-off materials cultivated in my environment. By utilizing these discarded resources, I prioritize personal experiences by using techniques in studio practice, making each piece more intimate and reflective of my journey. The use of recycled materials breathes new life into what many consider waste, transforming them into meaningful art.

Through this process, I aim to share my story and inspire others to recognize the potential of repurposing and recycling, ultimately reducing our environmental impact. By working with materials that others overlook, I demonstrate the importance of not limiting oneself in creativity, encouraging the pursuit of ideas beyond conventional expectations.

By incorporating diverse materials, I create a body of work that acknowledges my upbringing and experiences while offering viewers insight into who I am and a glimpse of who I aspire to be. My art serves as my voice among the many experimenting to foster a better tomorrow for our environment. I hope that my creations can act as a pebble in the ocean, catalyzing change, and innovation, one person at a time.
